Encouragement

I'm bad at encouragement.
I tried to encourage all my friends to get a club penguin when I was little. All my sisters friends had one and I wanted my own friends to have one.
It never worked. Actually, 2 years after I left those friends, one came up to me and asked if I had a club penguin account and I almost slapped them. For the 3 years I was with them, not once had they actually paid attention to me. Awwww.
I'm trying to encourage people at the moment to get a blog. And we can follow eachother. <3
Nearly all of them complain that they wouldn't know what to write. Another friend told me she still hasn't wrote her first facebook post and she's had it for about 3 months. (I love her anyway.)
But my last friend's reason was silly. She's getting twitter instead. Probably so she can stalk Justin Beiber.
Poor Kid that Justin boy. What with all this love mail and stalkers.
But I say all this with a wink!

Remember that one book?

When  I was young I read this series called 'Rainbow Magic.'
It was so awesome. All about fairies and evil Jack Frost and Kirsty and Rachel would save the day with the powers of teamwork, friendship and their trusty fairy friends.
Last time I checked there were 134 books all about half a centimeter thick. I got excited when I finished one in 3 days. So young.
But when I got up to the Pet Fairies collection, I stopped reading them. I looked ahead of me and I saw the 'Fun-day fairies' and the days of the week were just not magical enough for me.
In English we got asked to remember a book we used to love but don't find interesting anymore. I chose this series. And when I got asked why, I just said it's because the authors are seriously trying really hard now, and I think deserve a break. There's even a movie now.
And I say all this with a wink!

Bubbles!

Aren't they lovely? Especially when they go coloured in the sunlight, and flow around so freely.
And it's so wonderful when you blow a whole string of them and then they all float around!!
What if you were stuck inside a bubble? In movies and things whenever you get trapped inside a big bubble you can't seem to pop it and escape. The logic behind it all is crazy to me.
Because my bubbles always float around then gently fall down to the ground, or maybe even just pop in the air. If I were trapped inside a bubble I certainly wouldn't be their for long.
Because even when the bubble is weightless it falls, and eventually the bubble will pop. But somehow in movies the people in the bubbles float away.
Lesson here everyone, don't blow to big a bubble unless you've got a pointy stick in your back pocket or you're really heavy.
And I say all this with a wink!

Diabetes

I wish there was a cure. A medicine. Something?
My younger sister has Diabetes Type 1, she's always doing needles and finger pricks and she can't have treats and I wish that sometimes she could.
For those who don't know what it is: Diabetes type 1 is a disease that occurs when your pancreas (organ behind stomach) stops working and producing insulin. Insulin act as keys to help the red blood cells carry the sugar or 'glucose' around the body. Without the key to get around the body, the red blood cells don't know what to do with the sugar and have no where to put it, causing you to faint. So you have to take needles that inject insulin inside the body and works that glucose right! ;)
By the way, I learned about all this in a cartoon video that has smiley faces on the insulin and the red blood cells and the glucose.
In science I'm learning about stem cells. Stem cells can be used to 'reconstruct' organs or broken down cells. (Basically) In my theory, perhaps stem cells could be used to maybe help a diabetics' pancreas and cure them!
That would be amazing. For ma sister. <3

Magic!

My posts just keep getting longer and longer and longer.
But I'm gonna make this one short!
As a matter of fact I'm gonna talk about magic. More about Harry Potter. I'm reading them for the first time, and I'm already in my teens. Shame.
I started in the holidays and I'm already up to the 5th. (Proud*) And the hole time I read them I just kinda wish I was magic. Never mind the brooms, and if my school uniform consisted of a long dark robe and a pointy hat, I'd probably die.
But just admit it. Invisibility cloak? Yes. Butter beer? Yes. Wand that you can use as a torch light in bed? Yes.
Just a few things, ya-know?
Plus if I could recite all the spells I'd sound all foreign.
And I say all this with a wink!

If Lessons were colours

We did this project one time and we had to make questions for every subject we did. We put our questions on slides and coloured the slides in a way that suited the subject.
And Oh deary dear.
They made Mathematics red! Maths! Red! Everyone knows that Maths is blue. Science is red. (Fire, blood and in a previous post, cherries.)
Well, as much as I tried to convince them other wise, Maths was kept as red, and then the next catastrophe occured, English was green! English is full of poems and colours and emotion. And PINK clearly shows love, happiness, embarrassment or even a bit of anger! Well, no one listens to me and so English stayed green.
Here is my list of average classes, and some that I used to take, with a perfect colour each:
Maths-Blue
English-Pink
Science-Red
History-Orange
Sport-Light blue or maybe white
Drama-Dark Purple
Music-Violet
Religion-Pale Yellow
German-Green
Chinese-Insane Yellow
Indonesian or Malay-Grey or Pale Orange
Technology-Not pale, but Light Green
The Library may not be a subject but it could be classified as a pale green. I say that because books always remind me of the Hungry Caterpillar.
And I say all this with a wink!

Blueberry Polka-Dot Pancakes

One holiday, my cousin came over and he showed me this cool voice thing on the computer. Whatever you typed, the voice would try to say it, by relying on the vowels and consonants and the way they're supposed to sound. The voice is really robotic, but you can tell it's a man, a really dreary boring man.
We were typing in really funny words and listening to it, sometimes we just put in about a hundred random letters and listened to what it had to say.
I always typed in really crazy desserts or something, or really descriptive words that after a while, made no sense whatsoever. E.g The Blueberry polka-dot pancakes with extra vanilla cheesecake essence reminded the old frilly raspberry jelly flavored muffin all about back then when he was simply a purple iced and cherry ice cream topped fruity cupcake. If someone can make sense of this, I'll give them a hundred bucks. Never mind, I don't have a hundred buck, I'll give you a hug.
And I say all this with a wink!

Red is Science

There's this game I play with my friends when we get bored.
You just keep saying 'why?' But the other person has to have an answer.
Like, why is the sky blue? Because it's God's pyjama's.Why? Because the Earth is his bed and the other planets are his pillow. Why? God is so huge and awesome he can't have no ordinary bed. Why?
And it keeps going.
One time I was playing with my friend and she asked me why cherries were red.
"Cherries are red because of Science."
"Why?"
"Because Red is Science."
"Why?"
"Science's parents were red."
"Why?"
"Genetics."
Something like that. So, everybody. That's how you play that game. Whoever goes the longest wins, and the best part about it is that the answer truly doesn't matter. Like God's pyjama's and Sciences' red parents.
And I say all this with a wink!

Stupid Mistakes, not silly, stupid

A test you go and do feeling confident can just be ruined when you realise you got a question wrong because of a silly mistake.
Like today, I got my science test back, I was really looking forward to see how I went, I'd actually been trying hard this term, but I read through it and it turns out I drew a plant cell, NOT an animal cell.
Now they call them 'silly mistakes.' But I just felt stupid.  A downright 'smack yourself in the face because it was so obvious' kind of feeling.
It was a stupid mistake. Not silly. And I couldn't do anything about. Except pray that when our tests get remarked (one of the teachers didn't know that half marks weren't allowed) I would get maybe a higher score. Maybe.
And I say all of this with a face-palm.
(But I say THAT with a wink!)
