Shirley Barber

When I was little, Mum got me a Fairy Book. It was written and illustrated by Shirley Barber. I loved it so much. I read it all the time, it never got boring. So Mum bought me another book with lots of different stories in it. It came with a CD and I liked to listen to it all the time!
Shirley Barber is a fantastic illustrator, always drawing fairies and other mythical creatures. Shirley Barber actually made me believe in fairies for a long time and some of her drawings truly inspired me. But unfortunately I can only
draw little girls with massive eyes. More inspired by anime I guess.
And I say all this with a wink!

Author related Bucket list

I should start a dream book. The other week I had a dream that I could describe in so much detail. I remembered it off by heart. I even typed it up and my family read it aloud. They said I was weird but amazing that I could remember it. Also, it was quite interesting.
So I decided I might start a dream book, and write down my dreams and let them be the inspiration to my stories. By the way, this little 'Promise to God' wants to be a writer when it's older. (Referring to myself) And I'm asking if it'd be okay to share these Author thoughts with you.......
Well it's not like you can answer, and this post will be pretty lame if it ends now, so here it goes!
1. Create a book inspired by what I see in the clouds

2. Write a book inspired by my collection of treasure boxes
3. Paint a room of your house dedicated to this sentence: 'Paint My Universe With Sprinkles'
4. Be the ONLY ONE to illustrate your books
5. Have my Mum and Dad read my Shirley Barber books to my kids when I'm out and they're baby sitting
6. Write a musical
There it is! My little Author related bucket list. And if you don't know who Shirley Barber is than I'll explain her in my next post.
And I say all this with a wink!

amirite.net

When I'm not stacked with homework or on face book, I tend to visit this website called mylifeisaverage.com.
On that website there are endless posts about the strangest things that happened to that person that day. (Which makes no sense since the website is called My Life Is Average.) At the end of every post it is customary to type MLIA at the end. (Hence, My Life Is Average) And so one day I came across this post that said this person was on amirite.net and da-da-daa happened. So I visited this 'amirite' place and, my stars, one of my favorite websites yet. You post a statement and end the post with amirite? and people will agree (Yeah you are!) or disagree. (No way!) And then you see how truly right or wrong you are.
P.S I also found this website called mystery Google on mylifeisaverage.com, but I recently tried to visit it and it may have shut down. But Mystery Google is pretty shnazzy too.
And I say all this with a wink!

Let's go back 2 posts

I promised that I'd show you tell you about them new cups, and ever since I discovered my name means 'God's promise' I really feel that I should keep that promise. (Get on with it!) Okay okay!
Looking at this new cup I see ballerina's. With Peachy colored dresses, tight around the waist then bursting into a bomb shelf of frills and stopping at the knees. Oh how I wonder how ballerinas support themselves on their very tipsy-toes and how they can be so graceful about it. As the picture curves around the cup, there are more ballerina's but more tight together and they look like they've been cemented into the wall, reminds me of a french theater. Which is quite judgmental because I've never even been in a French theater.
And I say all this with a wink!

Name meanings

My stars, I was surprised when I found out what my name meant. Of course I don't mean Draw Dream Wish. I think typing that into the name dictionary would probably mess it up for life. Anyway, I always thought my name would have a beautiful meaning. My sisters do. "Rare, Clear and Bright" than "Gemstone" I typed my name into the word dictionary and got 'God's Promise.' I'm really not living up to my name all that much than, if I'm 'God's promise.' I mean, I believe in him and everything, but promise? That was the bit that got me.
Come to think of it, it's rather special. A promise sounds really special, a precious promise, promises are very important things to live up to. Dependence, people who have been promised to have to depend on those who made it.
Oh, now I have God depending on me? That's a lot to live up to. Oh, but I'm the promise God made. I wonder who I've been promised to? Catholics. I've been promised to an entire race. Wow, I wonder why I've been promised to them?
Now I'm just thinking too hard about this. Anyway......
And I say all this with a wink!
